Baking soda as deodorant 2

I've been using spritzed-on baking soda+water solution for over a month now.  I find it a worthy replacement of store-bought deodorants.  I decided to try a different recipe which could provide a more lasting effect.

One particularly afternoon, despite being indoors, the weather was hot and made me sweaty (and stinky).  That's why I decided to try out the paste.  I rubbed it into my pits without prior cleaning and the odour is gone!

I made a paste of baking soda + corn starch + coconut oil.  I used a tsp each of the powders and just enough oil to mix them together.  This actually produced a batch that could last over 15 applications!  I've only applied 7 times and I still have more than half of the original quantity left.

The scent of coconut oil is quite strong though.  Even though not overpowering but not really to my liking.

I could not wait till the first batch was finished so I made another batch (I tossed the previous one - cannot even began to calculate the cost of 1 tsp of baking soda & cornstarch and several drops of coconut oil) using canola oil instead and reduced the portions to less than 1 tsp each.

It is scentless now.  I could add essential oils but I actually prefer that it has no smell so there is no conflict when I where perfume.
